DBSupervisor never has direct access to your database or it's underlying data. Users are provided with an open-source connector, which runs as a standalone application within your network/VPC. The connector is responsible for interacting with your database, which means DBSupervisor never needs to know your database credentials.


The connector securely reports metadata to DBSupervisor, and requires read-only access to a limited set of internal database tables. You can restrict the connector's permissions and access with an isolated database user.
